The Learning Energy Efficiency Network VLEEN is the first Flemish network of i-Cleantech Vlaanderen. The energy audits for all participating companies are done by Encon, a specialist in energy saving potentials of companies. EnergyVille ensures an active participation and exchange between the participants. Nine companies of different sizes and industry sectors participate in VLEEN for four years.
On 14 January 2016, VLEEN was launched in a press conference in the presence of Annemie Turtelboom, minister of energy. During the kick-off meeting on 26 January 2016, the participants sat together at a table and exchanged their experiences of saving energy in their companies. During the four-year term of the network, the nine companies meet four times a year. When all energy audits are finished, the partici-pants of VLEEN agree on a common target of energy savings and CO2 reduction. Then, the nine companies implement energy efficiency measures by the end of 2019.
